I carry you, you carry me
Small water insects are all the time at work at the bottom of any river. But every now and then, a dragonfly that wants more out of life, slowly climbs up the stalks of the water plants. When it breaks through the surface of the water, it miraculously becomes a dragonfly, some bright blue, others red, some green and others yellow. Once the dragonfly has broken free of its constrained space, they cannot ever go back into the water, as they have literally changed. They have become enlightened and have the bigger task of saving the river and the environment.
The dragonfly is a wondrous creature that keeps the world together in a sense. It is 300 million years old, and without it, nature – and especially our freshwater river quality – would simply die. In many countries and cultures, the dragonfly speaks about wisdom, communication from nature, a new adaptation to different circumstances, new insight and transformation to do its work in nature. The eyes of the dragonfly simbolise the uninhibited vision of the mind and the ability to see beyond the limitations of humans. It invites people to take chances and realise their full potential to preserve nature.
CoGo identifies with the dragonfly. Because of our leadership capabilities, our knowledge and experience, we have a different view of how to address climate change and the decay of fresh water. We want to escape the confines of traditional top-down governmental management of fresh water. Together, like the dragonflies, we can dance through tough transitions.
CoGo is like the dragonflies. We want to escape the narrow thinking of the past, and involve companies, organisations, people groups and individuals to save our rivers and our most important resource of life.
